ATLAS is a directory of AI-native companies. We started with Croatia because that's where we live and work — and because the scene here is quietly becoming serious.

This is the first post on what will become the ATLAS journal: short notes on the companies we're tracking, the patterns we're seeing, and the people building it all.

Why a directory

There are good lists of "Croatian startups." There are good lists of "AI companies." Neither answers the question we kept getting asked: who is actually building AI-native products out of Croatia, right now?

ATLAS is the answer. One page, one map, no fluff.

What "AI-native" means here

Plenty of companies use AI. We're interested in the ones that are AI — products that wouldn't exist without the model at the center. Computer vision. Agents. Generative tools. Dev infrastructure for AI. The stuff that wasn't possible five years ago.

What's next

A few things we're working on:

• Submissions: a real form so anyone can add their company.
• Beyond Croatia: the same map for other countries. The brand is already neutral by design.
